We have extensive experience in acting as local Illinois counsel for attorneys outside of Illinois who need assistance with their clients' business transactions within the state. We review PSAs for Illinois-specific issues (including title, tax prorations, and bulk sales requirements) and work hand-in-hand with lead counsel in preparation for the closing to address local issues as they arise. We also prepare and issue lender-required Illinois opinion letters with respect to due authorization, enforceability, and other matters that lenders may request be addressed.
